No one could read it better than the great Robin Williams. Gave to my Grandson who wanted me to read immediately. Always a good sign!

I came across this book at our local library and took it home to read to the kids at bed time. We all enjoyed it so much that I looked for one on Amazon and bought it. This was my first 'used' purchase off Amazon. I found that the description of the books' condition was very accurate and there were no surprises with it's condition. As far as the book goes, this is one of my favorites and the kid's too. It's written in this 'twangy' southern drawl type voice and if you want to act a bit silly and really pour on the drawl, it's a real hoot to read.
The illustrations are so great; it really compliments the story. One of the illustrations shows part of Pecos Bill's rear end. He was raised by coyotes and when a cowboy happened upon him, Pecos Bill was naked and you can see the side of his 'back side'. It's a very funny picture and while it might be distracting for kiddo's in a classroom setting, it's perfectly fine for an 'at home' story. The kids and me too chuckle at that every time we read it.
